What is this all about?
What is life really like working on an ambulance control? the day in day out taking calls from people in distress, the hoax calls, the frequent callers who just want to waste our time.
Well this is story of how things really can be, the highs, the lows, the really weird senses of humours and the the occassional romance between dispatchers.
Real names arn’t disclosed in order to protect the innocent, the not so innocent and my job!
Who am I?
The least said the better, so all I can say is that I work somewhere in the south of the United Kingdom as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher (call taker). For fun I like to cycle, play football (badly!) and generally laze around on my days off.
Where to from here?
Well who knows, lets just see what happens, but I hope I can make you laugh and cry a little along the way and hopefully you may learn a little something about this job of mine and see that it isn’t just another Call Centre job
